Few days back, one of my friends made an enquiry for Six Sigma Green Belt on multiple online platforms including Google, Urban Pro, Just-Dial & India Mart. To his surprise, he received over 15 references for training providers offering Six Sigma Green Belt, each claiming to be the best! Of course, he got confused alike most of us could be!

Many of us might have experienced such situations. It actually leads to dilemma of choosing one out of 10s, at times even 100s.

Today, I will be sharing 5 tips to choose the ‘Right Six Sigma Training Provider’ which I gave to my friend as well.

1: Select the right mode of Training- Classroom Vs Online

The most and the obvious return we expect against the fees that you pay for is the knowledge! Almost everyone in the market has similar curriculum for a particular Six Sigma Training but what matters is how the knowledge is going to get transferred to you. In other words, the mode of Training.

There are certain Training Providers, in association with the Certificate issuing Authority or Accreditation Body, follow ill-practices such as wilfully failing the learners in the test and ask for extra amount for re-appearing in the test. You need to be very careful while choosing the Right Six Sigma Training Providers else it would be a waste of money, time and most importantly a trust on Six Sigma Training Providers, which will be a loss to Authenticate Training Providers.

4. Validate the Accreditation

Unlike Project Management, Six Sigma does not have any Centralised Body or Organization that validates the Curriculum or Training Provider’s Credibility. However, there are few widely recognised Accreditation Authorities such as ‘Council for Six Sigma Certification-CSSC (USA)’.

Every Accreditation Provider has its own criteria for Six Sigma Training Providers. Some of the Accreditation Bodies work on highly commercial basis whereas some work towards the betterment of Six Sigma Community as whole.

You can even find negative reviews or feedbacks for some accreditation providers but I believe they mostly come from the close competition.

5. Compare Pricing with the Value you may get

And here it is the core of any purchase especially in India. We often compare the pricing of multiple Training Providers but somehow we skip to compare the ‘value’ being added by each Training Provider.

For example, when we compare pricing of an iPhone with Micromax, we know iPhone has an advantage in terms of features, durability & performance. The same way, you have to compare Pricing with the Value you may get.
